Amerisleep FAQ

As always, this post is NOT sponsored by Amerisleep.

***UPDATE: Since buying our mattress in 2012, Amerisleep has started a new referral program. If you order your mattress through my link, you'll save an additional $50 on top of other discounts and specials! Click my link, enter your promo code (there's usually one on the Amerisleep site), and receive BOTH discounts. Easy peasy!***

I've received many emails from readers who are considering ordering an Amerisleep mattress. It's funny because I don't actually work for the company (never have) yet I've become sort of a brand ambassador because of the review I posted on my blog. Rather than keep responding to the same questions individually, it seemed like a smart idea to post the questions and answers here. If you think of a question that isn't here, please feel free to send me an email.

And, speaking as the self-proclaimed, unofficial Amerisleep ambassador, if my discount link or anyone over at Amerisleep give…

Ready for a Blog Hop?

(Yes, of course you are!)

I'm 100% ready for the weekend, with nothing planned except reading magazines, relaxing, and resting my beaten-up body. Oh, didn't I tell you? I got my butt kicked last night.

By myself.

You'd think by age 30 I'd have gotten the whole "walking up steps" thing figured out, but I apparently haven't. I'd you've ever tripped while running upstairs at full speed, resulting in both bare legs smacking into the wooden step edge, and both arms twisting wrong in a failed attempt to stop the fall, you surely feel my pain.

But hey, at least I didn't break both legs, right?

Have a better weekend than me, bloggy friends.

Weekend Blog Hop

Sexy Nerd and I are spending this weekend designing our dream home. The plan is to break ground within the next couple of months!

How about you?

Father's Day Party

We played host at an impromptu Father's Day party yesterday for my parents, brother, and sister-in-law.

You might remember seeing my dad and brother mentioned on LambAround before. They're a little bit awkward!

Our kitchen, almost ready to party. (Final step? A post-photo shoving frenzy of knick knacks anywhere and everywhere out of sight.)
Sexy Nerd gathered some flowers from our backyard, eventually. Every time company is coming over, without fail, he lounges around lazily while I frantically cook/clean/decorate/panic. I get mad at him, he's bewildered with no idea what's wrong, then he finally (FINALLY!) helps get things ready.
It's our own little party tradition.
The half wall dividing our living and dining rooms served as a convenient beverage station.
But something was missing...
Oh, I know!
An obscene amount of strawberry mango juice.
We also had cold-brewed iced coffee, sweetened with condensed milk, which was a big hit. Every last drop was gone before I could eve…

It's Party Time!

Have a happy Father's Day weekend, everyone.

A Park to Add to Your Bucket List

What's the best park in London?

Of all the parks I visited during our May trip to London, (and since I was paying a ridiculous $45 or so per day to travel to and from Reading, you can bet I crammed in as many parks as possible!) my favorite was Golders Hill Park in Hampstead Heath. For me, it beat my visit to Central Park in New York, Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, and all of the parks I've been to in Australia, Seychelles, Paris, Canada, and Mexico. Basically, Golders Hill Park is the best park IN THE WORLD!

There's a free zoo, homemade ice cream, bridges to run across, a pond where you can feed the ducks, grassy hills,  stumpery (yes, a stumpery!) statues, trails for hiking, deer, and all sorts of other outdoor awesomeness.

What might you see at Golders Hill Park? Take a look:

(And, of course, if you like any of my photos, I'd love for you to share them on Facebook and Pinterest!)

 Rum Raisin - my favorite!

An albino deer?

So cute...
...or so you thought!
