Amerisleep AS3 Reviews

My Amerisleep AS3 Unboxing Video (Surprise, my voice is ridiculous!) If I can (just barely) do it, you can totally tackle a bed-in-a-box by yourself. Updated 10/15/22 Amerisleep's AS5 was recently featured as the 'Best Soft Mattress in a Box' by Good Housekeeping , with the panel of reviewers noting: Pressure relief for side sleepers Taller than other boxed mattresses Good customer service    Amerisleep Mattress Reviews  We've been happy Amerisleep customers since purchasing our first AS3 mattress more than 9 years ago. Now we also have an AS2 and an AS4 (the AS3 is still our favorite). Born with chronic insomnia  (even as a baby - my family insists I was a nightmare), the struggle to improve my sleep is my life. My husband, the overly-analytical mechanical engineer, was initially skeptical of a mail-order mattress, but he was quickly won over. 2012: Wine glass test, sans wine. I was fairly confident our brand-new mattress would pass with f

Pretzel S'mores Recipe

We're overdue for a trip to Costco. While craving the sweet and salty yummyness that is s'mores with pink Himalayan sea salt , I opened our pantry door and discovered a horrible, terrible thing. No graham crackers! (As the very person who'd polished off the graham crackers a few days earlier, you wouldn't think I'd have been so surprised, but what can you do?) Instead of ignoring my s'mores craving in favor of, say, a stalk of celery, I improvised and created a new kind of s'more. Some (Sexy Nerd) will tell you it's better than the original. Others (me) will tell these new s'mores that they're cute, and even that they make a tasty snack, but not to bet on a recurring role in my kitchen. My heart belongs to graham. Pretzel S'mores Recipe Ingredients: (self explanatory, but I'll get questions if I leave this out!) Mini pretzels Chocolate chips Mini marshmallows Peanut butter (optional - this way is Sexy Ne

Menu for Sexy Nerd's Birthday Dinner

Thanks to everyone who offered recipe ideas for Sexy Nerd's birthday! I was having a tricky time deciding what to make, but luckily a great idea occurred to me. I asked him what he wanted! It's such a simple concept, right? Pretty! Do men appreciate pretty when it comes to their food? He said anything would be fine and that he's sure whatever I made would be delicious, which is sweet but also so very not helpful! After a little pestering, he decided on green chili chicken enchiladas. Here is the menu: Chicken Enchilada Casserole I plan to make the enchilada casserole using fresh green chili (one of the perks of living in Albuquerque) and this chicken recipe: Shredded Chicken for Enchiladas, Tostadas, Tacos... Chips and Black Bean and Corn Salad Dip Cheddar Chive Scones Which will be served with Super Easy and Delicious Zucchini Butter I was going to make these sweet potato fries as well, but sweet potatoes were not on sale t

Chicken Curry Ramen Noodles Recipe

*Be sure to also check out my Cheesy Chicken Ramen recipe , which is a spin on macaroni and cheese. Yum! Let me start this post with a confession. I am a chocoholic, one who puts other chocoholics to shame. At work, I've developed an unfortunate reputation as the girl who pigs out every time another office sends us anything chocolaty or whenever an employee restocks our candy drawer. (Betcha never thought your kid's dentist had one of those!) Those dozen Mississippi Mud cupcakes that were just here? I ate them. You knew I was working today so if you didn't get in there and get one, it's your own silly fault. What does any of this shameless chocolate-talk have to do with today's recipe? As much as I love chocolate, I love Ramen Noodles even more. Just look at them: Hey there, gorgeous! I will always remember "The Noodles That Got Away", otherwise known as when my mom threw my bowl of just-made noodles down the sink in 4th grade. I don't r

Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Cookies

I use boxed cake mix to whip up Cake Mix Cookie Bars, Cake Mix Pudding , Cake Mix Pancakes - just about everything except a Cake Mix Cake! There's no bad time for a chocolate chip cookie. A hearty bowl of oatmeal, mug of coffee, and a side of chocolate chip cookies? What a great way to start the day. Unfortunately, chocolate chip cookies are time consuming and kind of a pain to make, especially when you just want to eat the cookies right this instant. So, you try to save time and effort by baking a batch of cookie bars, but they often end up tasting more like cake or brownies. Cookie bars don't really taste like cookies, do they? Until now! Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Cookies Cake Mix Cookie Bars Quick and easy! 1 15.25 oz Box Cake Mix (I usually use Yellow, White, or Pillsbury Funfetti cake mix - a relief after you saw that neon photo above, right?) 1 Egg 1/3 C Vegetable Oil, Olive Oil, or Coconut Oil 1/3 C Milk (I've made these with everything from skim t

Baked Lemon Ricotta Donuts Recipe

Raise your hand if you've ever found yourself focused on something online, only to get completely sidetracked by some unrelated search result. My hands are waaay up in the air. When you drop your Las Vegas getaway research to spontaneously bake, all because you saw Lemon Ricotta Filled Donuts featured on Las Vegas restaurant menu, you have to raise both hands. Easily distracted, I may not be visiting chef Mario Batali's Las Vegas restaurant, Carnevino Italian Steakhouse, anytime soon. I can at least enjoy his Lemon Ricotta Donuts though! The best thing about this copycat recipe is that my Lemon Ricotta Filled Donuts are baked, not fried, so you won't end up looking like the chef. Okay, *technically* these are muffins. Think of them as the most donut-like muffins around. Feel free to deep fry the batter instead of baking it. As for us, Sexy Nerd and I have been hitting up Happy Hour a bit too often for that. I choose fried artichoke hearts, fried duck eggr

Pasta With Tuna And Bok Choy Recipe

It's ridiculous how quick, easy, cheap, and delicious this recipe is. And by using bok choy, people will think you've cooked something fancy! I used this flavored tuna, but regular tuna would work just fine. You can always squeeze a little lemon juice into it if you want. I had a coupon! Start some spaghetti boiling, then fry bok choy, bell pepper, and garlic. I only had 1/2 of a bok choy to use. An entire bok choy would have been much, much better! Add tuna. You see why I wish I'd had more bok choy? Wimpy! Now, doesn't this look so much better than boring old spaghetti with marinara sauce? Pasta with Tuna and Bok Choy: 1 can or pouch of tuna 8oz spaghetti 1 bok choy 1 Tbsp minced garlic 1/2 C diced bell pepper 3 Tbsp olive oil 1 Tbsp Pepper Sprinkle of onion Salt 2 Tbsp Italian Seasoning Juice from 1/2 a lemon (optional) 2 Tbsp Butter Parmesan cheese Boil spaghetti While spaghetti is boiling, heat ol

Savory Zucchini Pancakes

These are very simple to make. We eat them as a snack but they would also make a great appetizer. The recipe below is for 2 people. Om nom nom. Sexy Nerd has been growing a lot of zucchini in his garden. Why he wrapped the larger zucchini in plastic is anyone's guess.  Beat 2 eggs. Personally, I think photos of beating eggs are fun. Frothy!   Coarsely grate 1 zucchini. There is no need to peel it. If you're looking for a review of my Kitchen Aid food processor, just know that I am not a fan. (It leaks!) Mix 1 cup of zucchini in with your eggs. There is no need to drain any moisture from the zucchini. Mix in 1/2 a cup of pancake mix. Does it concern me that Sexy Nerd and I go through several of these 10 pound bags a year? A little. Oooh, drippy. Mix in a pinch of onion salt, a dash of garlic powder, and a generous sprinkling each of curry powder and italian seasoning. I love curry powder so I tend to add at le
