Amerisleep AS3 Reviews

My Amerisleep AS3 Unboxing Video (Surprise, my voice is ridiculous!) If I can (just barely) do it, you can totally tackle a bed-in-a-box by yourself. Updated 10/15/22 Amerisleep's AS5 was recently featured as the 'Best Soft Mattress in a Box' by Good Housekeeping , with the panel of reviewers noting: Pressure relief for side sleepers Taller than other boxed mattresses Good customer service    Amerisleep Mattress Reviews  We've been happy Amerisleep customers since purchasing our first AS3 mattress more than 9 years ago. Now we also have an AS2 and an AS4 (the AS3 is still our favorite). Born with chronic insomnia  (even as a baby - my family insists I was a nightmare), the struggle to improve my sleep is my life. My husband, the overly-analytical mechanical engineer, was initially skeptical of a mail-order mattress, but he was quickly won over. 2012: Wine glass test, sans wine. I was fairly confident our brand-new mattress would pass with f

Want to Pet a Kangaroo?

We just got home from 3 weeks in Australia and I'm crazy jet lagged. (And heading to work right now - yaaaay.) Photos, trip details, and travel tips for your own Australian adventure are coming soon. If you've ever wanted to visit Australia (who hasn't?), now is the time because of the exchange rate. With the value of the US dollar compared to the Australian dollar, we basically received a 30% discount on every purchase. This was taken at the Cohunu Koala Park near Perth, which was one of the highlights of our trip. It's one of the few places you can pet kangaroos, wallabies, and other Australian animals. It turns out kangaroos love popcorn.

Drinking Our Way Around the Corrales Wine Loop

Yesterday, Sexy Nerd and I had the pleasure of attending the annual Corrales Wine Loop event, which pairs 9* local wines with 9 cheese tastings. If you're near Albuquerque or Santa Fe, this event is worth the drive to Corrales.  The three participating wineries are Acequia, Corrales, and Pasando Tiempo. It's only $25 per person. You can also attend the Corrales Bike and Wine Tour next month, which features the same wines paired with strenuous exercise instead of cheese. (Ha, ha.) *Make that 10 local wines - Acequia winery was extra generous! Also, if you're reading this and are from one of the wineries, your previous event had wines paired with desserts. You replaced chocolate with cheese?! This sweet-toothed gal requests a combination of cheese pairings and sugary treats for Corrales Wine Loop, 2020.  Wine + Cheese + Chocolate = Heaven   Our first stop was the Corrales Winery , which features a lovely patio overlooking a lush, green field. Soaking up the New

Cruising Canada On the Costa Atlantica

Photos From Our Costa Atlantica Cruise - The Good (What little there was before Costa tried to kill us.) Below is a post I started in 2011 and only just now realized I never posted, 8 years later. Crazy! Also crazy? Look how young we were! Who allowed these children unescorted on a cruise? Remember my post ' No Cruising Since October? That Won't Do! '? Last year, Sexy Nerd and I embarked on an almost 2 week cruise from Quebec to NYC. Yes, last year . I really am behind on my blogging. That, and this was such a bad cruise. A truly, disgustingly bad cruise, and we will never recommend Costa to anyone as long as we live. I've read that Costa has not done well in North America and it doesn't surprise me one bit. For this post, however, let's focus on the good. The Itinerary We loved this itinerary, even in the Spring when it was a bit chilly. Canada is our favorite cruise destination. We'd love to go in the Fall when the leaves are changing.

Buffet of Buffets Pass

We're home from our Las Vegas getaway and had an amazing time. Let's begin with the highlight of our trip - the food! We booked a hotel package that included two Buffet of Buffets passes.  That's right - 24 hours of nonstop Vegas buffets! My goal was to eat at all 6 that are included with the Buffet of Buffets Pass .  Unfortunately, we didn't factor in the heavy surcharges (on top of the already expensive pass?!) required to dine at 2 of the 6 or the absurdly long lines. Unless you're extremely patient and are okay with paying at least $50 more per person, you're not going to make it to all 6 buffets. Buffet of Buffets Pass Q. What is the Buffet of Buffets Pass ? A. The Buffet of Buffets Pass provides unlimited entry to 6 Las Vegas buffets, including Flavors The Buffet, Le Village Buffet, and Spice Market Buffet, for 24 hours. Q. How much is the Buffet of Buffets Pass ? A. $59.99 per person Sunday-Thursday and $74.99 per person Friday-Satu

Come With Me to Santa Fe! Food, Luxury Homes, and Art

SN and I recently had the pleasure of attending the ARTsmart Art of Home tour in Santa Fe . Sponsored by Keller Williams Realty, it's an annual, free event that combines art from local galleries with luxury homes for sale. This year, the event fell on the same weekend as Santa Fe Restaurant Week, pairing two of my greatest loves, houses and food. How could we possibly resist? If you're considering visiting New Mexico, be sure to add the ARTsmart Art of Home tour and Santa Fe Restaurant Week to your travel itinerary, if at all possible. We always drive up from Albuquerque for the Santa Fe Parade of Homes every summer, even though we think it's overpriced...but maybe not anymore because this was so much better. At one of the homes, we were thanked because attending this event supports local school children...but probably only if you buy some artwork, right? And...we didn't.  You know what will help set things right though? An awesome blog post to spread the word for
