Amerisleep AS3 Reviews

My Amerisleep AS3 Unboxing Video (Surprise, my voice is ridiculous!) If I can (just barely) do it, you can totally tackle a bed-in-a-box by yourself. Updated 10/15/22 Amerisleep's AS5 was recently featured as the 'Best Soft Mattress in a Box' by Good Housekeeping , with the panel of reviewers noting: Pressure relief for side sleepers Taller than other boxed mattresses Good customer service    Amerisleep Mattress Reviews  We've been happy Amerisleep customers since purchasing our first AS3 mattress more than 9 years ago. Now we also have an AS2 and an AS4 (the AS3 is still our favorite). Born with chronic insomnia  (even as a baby - my family insists I was a nightmare), the struggle to improve my sleep is my life. My husband, the overly-analytical mechanical engineer, was initially skeptical of a mail-order mattress, but he was quickly won over. 2012: Wine glass test, sans wine. I was fairly confident our brand-new mattress would pass with f

Get Over the Flu: 5 Ways to Make Your Flu Recovery Faster and Easier

I have the flu, so this is going to be a short post. Never mind that I often skip blogging altogether when I am healthy. (Update: This turned out to be a pretty decent post. Yay for sick me! See? These 5 tips really work!) I should be at work today and not at home witnessing how stupid our dogs are. Pica just yawned and the sound caused Biscuit to bark, which made Pica bark. Now they are both barking hysterically at the glass front door. (Yes, glass front door. It is super obvious that there is no one there.) (Update: UPS just dropped off 2 packages and neither dog had any idea.) Things to Remember to Make Your Flu Recovery Faster and Easier 1. Water tastes gross. You know you're supposed to stay hydrated when you have the flu. Staying hydrated is never a problem for me. I love water...except that when you have the flu, water tastes gross. Like, you can taste the sickness. The universe has a cruel sense of humor sometimes. If you're caring for someone with the flu (hint

Where's Biscuit? A Story in Photos

For the record, I hate Sexy Nerd's shiny jacket too! Cozy.

BLOG HOP! Come Party with LambAround

I'm posting this during my lunch break while eating yummy peanut butter noodles. My coworker has never heard of such a thing (angel hair pasta mixed with a sauce containing peanut butter, soy sauce, sesame oil, and seasonings) and now she thinks I'm nuts. Okay, my coworker has always thought that, but she's considering this to be further proof. The peanut butter noodles really are so good though! Has anyone else tried this scrumptious food? Also, Pica seems to have forgotten all about missing her dad . Actually, I think she may have forgotten that he exists altogether! When Sexy Nerd and I returned from 3 weeks in Australia , Pica and Biscuit were more interested in visiting with my mom (who drove us home from the airport) than us. Dogs are jerks like that. Have a great weekend, everyone!

HGTV Dream Home: I Know Who Is Going To Win

HGTV is going to announce the winner of the 2010 HGTV Dream Home in Sandia Park, NM in just a few days (March 15 at 8pm ET/PT). I'm sorry if you thought you were going to win it, but you're not. Who will the winner be? Sexy Nerd and I are going to win the HGTV Dream Home! WOO HOO!! What makes me so sure? How do I know?? Well, technically I don't know for sure ...but I've become attached to the idea and figure that sending "Sexy Nerd and I are going to win the 2010 HGTV Dream Home" vibes out into the universe can't hurt! You can help by repeating after me: "Sexy Nerd and Lamb are going to win the 2010 HGTV Dream Home. The LambAround blog is the best blog ever and I will visit all of the sponsors. Pica and Biscuit will look cute and happy in the 2010 HGTV Dream Home. They can share the kid's room." Don't feel bad about us winning instead of you. I will take zillions of photos and post them here! It's a win-win situation

Zenmed Reviews

What is Zenmed? The folks at Zenmed recently reached out to me and were extremely helpful in deciding which of their products were best for my specific skin concerns. They're especially popular with rosacea sufferers.  Here is what I told them and their reply: Now that I'm in my 30s, my biggest skin problem is dark spots and uneven tone. I just look kind of "blah", if you know what I mean. I also feel like the skin under my eyes is not quite as plump as it used to be, which I think makes me look tired. Although to be fair, I am usually pretty tired. Hooray for  idiopathic insomnia ! Our  L-Ascorbic Booster Serum  will be just right for you. I'll send that along with one of our cleansers, a moisturizer and our  glycolic booster  to slowly reveal the new, healthy layer underneath.   I checked out the L-Ascorbic Booster Serum details on the Zenmed site, which claimed to soften wrinkles, plump your skin, and minimize dark spots by increasing collagen

Chemical Peel Before & After

This article has been updated! My new chemical peel post, which includes pricing, Jessner peel before and after photos, product recommendations, and a helpful timeline for scheduling your treatments, is at the bottom. My original Jessner peel post (one of the most popular on my site of all time) is at the beginning. Original Chemical Peel Article Considering a chemical peel? I recently underwent my first Jessner peel and thought I'd share my results, post a Jessner peel review, and answer some frequently asked chemical peel questions. (I'm guessing that "Does a chemical peel hurt?" is a biggie!) I'd been planning to order an over-the-counter peel when we were in Iceland , but my computer led me a different direction. I decided to do this on a whim after Groupon greeted me one morning with a great $40 chemical peel deal. Now, I can read your mind. You just gasped in horror and thought  You trusted your face to a  discount  chemical peel?!  You're wondering w
