Amerisleep AS3 Reviews

My Amerisleep AS3 Unboxing Video (Surprise, my voice is ridiculous!) If I can (just barely) do it, you can totally tackle a bed-in-a-box by yourself. Updated 10/15/22 Amerisleep's AS5 was recently featured as the 'Best Soft Mattress in a Box' by Good Housekeeping , with the panel of reviewers noting: Pressure relief for side sleepers Taller than other boxed mattresses Good customer service    Amerisleep Mattress Reviews  We've been happy Amerisleep customers since purchasing our first AS3 mattress more than 9 years ago. Now we also have an AS2 and an AS4 (the AS3 is still our favorite). Born with chronic insomnia  (even as a baby - my family insists I was a nightmare), the struggle to improve my sleep is my life. My husband, the overly-analytical mechanical engineer, was initially skeptical of a mail-order mattress, but he was quickly won over. 2012: Wine glass test, sans wine. I was fairly confident our brand-new mattress would pass with f

Ham and Cheese Crepes Recipe

I slaved over these homemade crepes all day. Just kidding! My secret ingredient? Prepackaged crepes, which taste just as good, if not better, than homemade. Ham and Cheese Crepes For something so simple, don't these look so fancy? I have a fantastic recipe for you today. But first, behold the 50 calorie giant cookie...   Giant YUM! And only 1 measly gram of fat. Can you believe it? Best of all, with the help of your toaster oven, these mega-cookies crisp up in less than ONE minute! Prepackaged crepes, where have you been all my life? Of course, you can also devour these  Frieda's French Style Crepes (or other prepackaged crepes) as they are intended, with a fruit or mascarpone filling. It couldn't be easier to fancy up a crepe.  Filling them with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows before their party on the stove or in the toaster oven gives you smores crepes. Blueberries and whipped cream (skip the toaster oven!) is also yummy. But h

Spring Decorating Ideas

You may not be able to visit our home right now (you'd totally be here if not for COVID-19, right?), but here are a few photos with spring decorating ideas to enjoy. Decorating projects currently in process? Tiling the walls (and groin ceiling!) of our dining room with mother of pearl in a herringbone pattern. We're also working on a backsplash for our outdoor kitchen - the most gorgeous blue tiles just arrived from Spain!  I hope none are broken. I should probably get around to opening all of the smashed boxes tomorrow. Tile, tile, and more tile coming soon. The term 'jewel box' gets thrown around so often in the design world. This is going to be the jewel box that puts the others to shame. We'd finish more decor projects if SN and I weren't both currently working from home. Actually, make that if he wasn't working from home. I'd just be watching more TV. Have you checked out Little Fires Everywhere with Kerry Washington and Reese Withe

6 Ways to Get the Best Lighting On a Budget

One of my favorite things about our new home is the unique assortment of lighting, including custom-made pieces and luxury designer fixtures. We even have an Arteriors light.  If you added everything up at retail price, we'd easily be looking at thousands of dollars just in lights. But, of course, we would never pay the retail price. (And you shouldn't either!) Everyone who knows me knows I love a bargain . Here are my tips for scoring the best deals on light fixtures for your home. Money-saving tip #1: Use Amazon Move, Wayfair, and Lowes coupons to save 10%, then save even more. When you move into a new place, be sure to fill out a USPS change of address form online, not at the post office. As we have a new construction home, we were required to go to the post office either way and, while there, we were encouraged not to fill out a change of address request online because it would cost us a dollar. (I've always thought this was dishonest of the post off
