Amerisleep AS3 Reviews

My Amerisleep AS3 Unboxing Video (Surprise, my voice is ridiculous!) If I can (just barely) do it, you can totally tackle a bed-in-a-box by yourself. Updated 10/15/22 Amerisleep's AS5 was recently featured as the 'Best Soft Mattress in a Box' by Good Housekeeping , with the panel of reviewers noting: Pressure relief for side sleepers Taller than other boxed mattresses Good customer service    Amerisleep Mattress Reviews  We've been happy Amerisleep customers since purchasing our first AS3 mattress more than 9 years ago. Now we also have an AS2 and an AS4 (the AS3 is still our favorite). Born with chronic insomnia  (even as a baby - my family insists I was a nightmare), the struggle to improve my sleep is my life. My husband, the overly-analytical mechanical engineer, was initially skeptical of a mail-order mattress, but he was quickly won over. 2012: Wine glass test, sans wine. I was fairly confident our brand-new mattress would pass with f

Not "Baaad" Sundays #7

Welcome to another Not "Baaad" Sundays with LambAround Linky Party! I know what you're thinking. There are already a zillion blog hops out there, Lamb! What makes yours so special? I'll tell you what makes mine special. 2 things! 1. This Linky is open to all posts that you are proud of. Did you recently post about a great decorating project, craft, or recipe? That's wonderful if you did, but just fine if you didn't. I just want you to link to a post or posts you are proud of. 2. Do you ever find yourself trying not to duplicate posts on blog hops but aren't quite sure what you posted the previous weeks? Problem solved! The Linky from today will be back, making it easy to see what you've already posted and giving you another chance to visit any great posts you may have missed! THE RULES (so serious!) Please link directly to your post, not just your general blog, and include a post-related photo. You don't want to be the grump at the party who

Lamb Monkeys Around

One of my all time favorite blogs is The Spohrs are Multiplying. Inspired by Heather's recent post, Tore a New One , I had a pathetic (I truly was!) childhood story of my own to tell. Here is what I wrote to Heather: I don’t think this quite tops your hilarious butt injury, (laughing WITH you, not at you, of course!) but my childhood accident also involves the monkey bars. I was in 2nd grade and swinging from bar to bar on the school playground, all alone because my best friend hadn’t come to school. When I was done playing, I looked down and saw a HUGE blister on my palm. How huge? Look at your hand. My entire palm was a blister! I knew I needed to go to the nurse, but I was soooooo shy and afraid to go. Instead, I spent the rest of lunch wandering around the playground, kinda dazed and jittery and wondering what to do. Eventually, a group of little girls took me to the nurse. Thank goodness for second-graders with a motherly instinct!  I don't have a 2nd grade photo t

I Should Have Known Better

The other afternoon, I was enjoying some quiet time alone. I had my pajamas on (not the type to wear your pajamas in the middle of the day? You're working too hard!) and was reading a book in my office. The ceiling fan was set to the lowest speed. Sexy Nerd peeked in through the doorway to ask if I wanted to come to Lowes with him. Nope, I was perfectly happy just being lazy. As he left, I made my big mistake. Can you turn the fan up for me? I asked, truly embracing my laziness. He did. Then, he noticed that the fan wiggled slightly. We have lived in this house for over 3 years and I have never noticed anything wrong with the fan. Of course, Sexy Nerd didn't think a wobbly fan was anything to take lightly. That's going to vibrate right off the ceiling and kill someone, he said, completely serious (to which I thought, seriously!? ) This is the part of my story where I was forced to leave my office (too dangerous!) while Sexy Nerd took the entire fan down. $3 Dining Room Chairs Before & After

You know when you sit down to write and say, "Noooo, I don't want to blog today!" That's me right now. Since this site is supposed to be fun (for you and for me!), I'm going to be lazy and go bake something with pumpkin instead.  For now, here is a post rerun. That's allowed, right? ***** Sexy Nerd and I have been looking for new chairs for a while. My old Ashley Furniture glass dining table and metal chairs from college just weren't right in our new house . However, as the old dining set cost $200 for the table and 4 chairs, I was having trouble justifying $100 or so per chair for replacements.  So, the glass table is now being used as a desk in my office, Sexy Nerd refinished an old dining room table to match our style, and the old chairs received a much-needed update, courtesy of a $3 can of burgundy spray paint...which looks pink when photographed, for some reason. Just use your imagination and pretend it's burgundy. Now to find
