Amerisleep AS3 Reviews

My Amerisleep AS3 Unboxing Video (Surprise, my voice is ridiculous!) If I can (just barely) do it, you can totally tackle a bed-in-a-box by yourself. Updated 10/15/22 Amerisleep's AS5 was recently featured as the 'Best Soft Mattress in a Box' by Good Housekeeping , with the panel of reviewers noting: Pressure relief for side sleepers Taller than other boxed mattresses Good customer service    Amerisleep Mattress Reviews  We've been happy Amerisleep customers since purchasing our first AS3 mattress more than 9 years ago. Now we also have an AS2 and an AS4 (the AS3 is still our favorite). Born with chronic insomnia  (even as a baby - my family insists I was a nightmare), the struggle to improve my sleep is my life. My husband, the overly-analytical mechanical engineer, was initially skeptical of a mail-order mattress, but he was quickly won over. 2012: Wine glass test, sans wine. I was fairly confident our brand-new mattress would pass with f

Best in Show Nominees (Finally!)

This week, there were so many wonderful blogs linked up to the Not "Baaad" Sundays Linky that I had trouble whittling down a list of Best in Show nominees. Also, I was/am feeling lazy. For you though, my bloggy buddies, I have fought my sleepy, do-nothing-but-lounge-around-in-my-jammies mood long enough (just barely long enough) to announce my top picks. If your blog post was selected, I have 2 cute button choices for you:  And, in my best Academy Awards voice, the nominees are: Three Boys Cheri Quite Contrary The Bird's Papaya Dream Home DIY Kirsty Girl My Sweet and Savory Choose to Thrive Steep competition! The winner will be announced on Friday morning (I'm hoping to have all this laziness out of my system by then). Good luck!

Sooooo Lazy!

Best in Show nominees? Yaaaaawn! I've chosen the nominees and was going to post them this morning before work. Then, I was going to post them first thing after work. Then, I was going to post them right after I got home from picking up my glasses (my first pair of glasses e ver !) The nominees will be announced Tuesday morning...I'm fairly certain ;) On a side note, I never realized just how horrible my vision was. I finally made an eye appointment after Sexy Nerd said he wasn't going to read the McDonalds menu to me anymore. Now that I can see, I can't believe I didn't get glasses sooner. I just looked out our bedroom window and the lights from the city are hundreds of individial little dots, not just a blur of white and yellow like they've always been. Amazing. On another side note, a photo with my fancy new glasses (J. Lo brand - aren't I cool?) may or may not be coming soon. I'm still coming to terms with my nerdy look (not to mention that m

Not "Baaad" Sundays #10

Welcome back, my bloggy friends, to the tenth Not "Baaad" Sundays Linky Party! In case you've forgotten, (can't blame you - it's been a looooong week!) there are 2 things that makes my Linky special: 1. This Linky is open to all posts that you are proud of. Did you recently post about a great decorating project, craft, or recipe? That's wonderful if you did, but just fine if you didn't. I just want you to link to a post or posts you are proud of. 2. Do you ever find yourself trying not to duplicate posts on blog hops but aren't quite sure what you posted the previous weeks? Problem solved! Today's Linky will be back, making it easy to see what you posted last time (and giving you a 2nd chance to visit any great posts you may have missed!) Doesn't this sound like fun? Of course, I do ask that you link directly to your post and include a photo from that post , not just your blog logo. And if you could post my Not "Baaad" Sundays bu

The winner of this week's best in show award is... P ica and Biscuit are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winners name (or, perhaps, they are eagerly awaiting the moment when I get the camera out of their faces and let them get back to sleep) ...actually 2 winners!  Congratulations to While He Was Napping and North Dakota Kitchen, who tied with 9 votes each. You bloggers have made history with the first LambAround tie ever (you know, in the entire 3 weeks I've been doing this award!) Here is a sample of all the awesomeness you will find when you visit these 2 blogs: Adorable hair clips at While He Was Napping! Individual pies in jars at North Dakota Kitchen! Have a happy Friday, everyone!

Sexy Nerd Made Cookies!

Here they are in the cookie dough stage: Oh wait, that is a photo of them fully baked. Hmmmm... (Yes, it is fun harassing Sexy Nerd! Besides, considering that he made about 2 dozen of these and right now, less than 4 hours later, they are ALL GONE, I'm sure he knows I'm just teasing him.) The recipe may or may not be coming soon. I asked Sexy Nerd how he made them and he said "I dunno". So I asked if he used a recipe or just made something up. "I dunno," he said again. To which I, of course, wanted to say  "YOU DAMN WELL KNOW WHETHER OR NOT YOU USED A RECIPE, YOU CRAZY ASS NERD!" Whoops, that wasn't a very nice thing to write. Must be the sugar talking.

Not "Baaad" Sundays - Come Link Up!

It's time for another fun weekend of blog hopping! As always, the Linky from last Sunday is back, making it easy not to accidentally repeat the same post as before (and making it easy to visit any fabulous links you may have missed while you were busy trick-or-treating). THE RULES (so serious!) This Linky is open to all posts that you are proud of, whether it is a creative project, an impressive photo, or an interesting story. Please link directly to your post, not just your general blog, and include a post-related photo. You don't want to be the grump at the party who doesn't mingle, so please visit at least two other party guests and let them know you found them through LambAround. I saw a lot of these comments while browsing through the entries this week. Thank you so much to everyone who plays nice! :) And, of course, I'd love it if you post the Not "Baaad" Sundays button. <a href="http://lambaround.blogspot.com"><img src=&q

Pica Can't Do Any of This

Not a link clicker? Make an exception. This little Jack Russell is incredible! TVKim- Watching: Kim's Picks- An amazing little helper Sexy Nerd and I are going to work on training Pica right away. Who couldn't use a little extra help closing the cabinet doors and taking off shoes?  Just sitting around, doing nothing, like always.

Fancy New Haircut

I've always been the type of girl who gets her hair cut just once or twice a year - whenever Great Clips or Super Cuts sends out a $4.99 haircut coupon. When Groupon offered 50% off at Salon Phoenix in Albuquerque, I decided to splurge. This month's Redbook came out a few days later. Who else sees the haircut resemblance? I just wish I'd thought to bring my camera to the salon. When my hair was being highlighted and was crimped into dozens of foil pieces, I looked like I could have been the baby of the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion. Though, I suppose them having a baby together would overshadow my snazzy new haircut. Thank you, Bridgette at Salon Phoenix! I love my new haircut!

New Banner

It was fun making special edition Halloween banners for my blog. So fun, in fact, that now I'm addicted. What does everyone think of my latest, grassy banner?

Best in Show Nominees - Let the Voting Begin!

You can find the poll at the top of this blog. Voting will run until Thursday night and the winner of the Best in Show customized award will be announced Friday morning. This week's Not "Baaad" Sundays linky was filled with fun ideas, including many tasty treats! The Blackberry Vine kicked my sugar tooth into high gear with these ridiculously yummy cupcakes. Look at that filling! Modern Country Style shared a bedside table makeover in an already beautiful bedroom. A Whisk and a Prayer cooked up some smores bites. Don't they look delicious? Fireflies and Family made a sign that I think would be perfect for work. From Apples to Zucchini taught how to make your very own 3 Musketeers bars! I would store mine in the fridge - not underneath the oven ;) See Kate Sew created this Pottery Barn look alike for only $2! The Scrap Shoppe recreated a no-sew Pottery Barn pillow. Bloggers are giving Pottery Barn something to worry about this week! Just Sew Sassy m

Sexy Nerd Made a Pig-O-Lantern!

Let's start today with some Halloween fun. I present: Kitchen Pig, the Jack-O-Lantern. You know you're in for a fun Halloween when you come downstairs in the morning to find this drawn on the chalkboard door. Kitchen Pig smiles because he sees the resemblance. Boo? Oink? In this case, let's go with Boink.
