Amerisleep AS3 Reviews

My Amerisleep AS3 Unboxing Video (Surprise, my voice is ridiculous!) If I can (just barely) do it, you can totally tackle a bed-in-a-box by yourself. Updated 10/15/22 Amerisleep's AS5 was recently featured as the 'Best Soft Mattress in a Box' by Good Housekeeping , with the panel of reviewers noting: Pressure relief for side sleepers Taller than other boxed mattresses Good customer service    Amerisleep Mattress Reviews  We've been happy Amerisleep customers since purchasing our first AS3 mattress more than 9 years ago. Now we also have an AS2 and an AS4 (the AS3 is still our favorite). Born with chronic insomnia  (even as a baby - my family insists I was a nightmare), the struggle to improve my sleep is my life. My husband, the overly-analytical mechanical engineer, was initially skeptical of a mail-order mattress, but he was quickly won over. 2012: Wine glass test, sans wine. I was fairly confident our brand-new mattress would pass with f

Great Deals at Walgreens & World Market Coupon

Inspired by Passionate Penny Pincher, I decided to maximize my Walgreens deals this week, sans the diapers she had purchased. They are a great price and I'm sure one day I'll wish I'd bought them, but for now, baby-free, it just seemed too weird to buy a package of Huggies! Several drafts and alternate spending scenarios were required for this. You can't just walk into Walgreens willy nilly - that's how they get you! Here was my plan of attack, factoring in the annoying Walgreens rule that requires an equal or greater amount of items purchased to number of coupons: To Buy Omega Smart (cost: $10; Get a $10 register reward) (2 bottles) Speed Stick 24/7 (cost: 2/$5; Get a $3 register reward) Revlon Nail Polish (cost: $3.99; Get a $3 register reward) Pert Shampoo & Conditioner (cost: $3.99; Get a $3 register reward) Twizzlers (cost: 3/$4) Existing Register Rewards from Last Week 1 for $1 1 for $2 Transaction #1 Buy 2 Speed Sticks Use both existing c

BlOG HOP! Not Baaad Sundays Linky

Quickly and unrelated to the link party, it sucks when your husband changes his mind about going out for lunch and a movie when you're already dressed and ready to go, not to mention starving because you skipped eating in anticipation of your yummy meal at Sweet Tomatoes. Oh, and he reveals that the agreed upon movie is one he doesn't want to see anyway. The reason? He doesn't like movies. Anyway... Thanks for playing nice, everyone! Oh, and to the winner of the Best in Show award, (whoever that may be - muah ha ha!) your award is coming soon :)

Blog Hop! Link Up @ LambAround

Let's all take a moment to visit and congratulate this week's winner of the Best in Show award. What will you find on their blog? Pure awesomeness.   Vibrant, hand-painted chairs! Quirky end tables! The cutest little jewelry boxes ever ! Fantastic job, Mary at The Decorative Paintbrush ! I loved browsing through all your whimsical designs. Here is an award, just for you:

Baby Time?

On Saturday, Sexy Nerd and I rode our state money pit, the Rail Runner, from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. It was standing room only for most of the 1 1/2 hour ride, so we were relieved to find two seats at the back of the train. Even better, we found two seats side by side! I read in the Albuquerque Journal a few weeks ago that New Mexico actually lost so much money on the Rail Runner last year that they could have purchased a Toyota Prius for each and every passenger from 2010 and still come out ahead. But, I digress. At the Rail Runner's first stop, a family with a baby boarded. There were many people around, including other families with children, but they asked us if we minded keeping an eye on their stroller. Easy enough. So here Sexy Nerd and I were, riding to Santa Fe with a stroller. Another family hopped onto the train. Again, there were plenty of people they could have asked to watch their car seat. This is how a sign works, isn't it?

Watching Nascar Does This to Me Too

Bloggy friends, who else has come downstairs to find their husband asleep... on the couch... with the remote control for the speakers on top of his head? Be honest.

And the Winner is...

...the super duper blogger who posted this: Bugs!! Who else here wants to rescue the baby from the cricket? He likes bugs, but still...blech!  and this: Valentine's Party Too early to think about February, you say? Nonsense! The grocery stores here in Albuquerque are already stocked for Halloween. Valentine's Day is going to be here before you know it. Congratulations, Kara at The exception, not the rule...the Swindells ! For your Best in Show award, I have two buttons for you to choose from this week: On a side note, I keep getting the feeling that there is a bug crawling up my foot. Thank you for that, Kara ;) Thank you to everyone who participated in the Not "Baaad" Sundays blog hop! Check back this weekend for another fun link-up party and another chance to win the Best in Show award!

Smores In The Oven

If you're a fellow Family Guy fan, you surely remember the episode where Peter and Bill Clinton have the munchies and talk about stealing and eating a pig. It went something along the lines of "We could totally eat that pig, man. It could be in our stomachs in, like, a minute." People, these s'mores are your one minute pig. If you're not a fellow Family Guy fan, I've surely just lost you forever as a reader here. Sorry. Smores in the oven are perfect when you're craving a quick, sugary treat. They work equally well in a toaster oven and a convection oven. Best of all, compared to eating an entire bag of Oreos, they're quite healthy. Not that I would ever eat the e ntire bag of Oreos. I'd save one for SN. Smores in the Oven Step 1: Put desired amount of graham crackers on a toaster oven/convection oven-safe pan. (No graham crackers? No problem! Make pretzel s'mores instead.)   Looks like it's time to clean thi

Puppy Wearing a Cone!

After she was spayed, Sexy Nerd and I requested that Pica be sent home wearing a cone (really, how much can you trust a Jack Russell not to chew her stitches?) The veterinarian thought it was unnecessary, but complied.  Post-surgery and drugged out of her little mind, we put Pica straight to bed. After she had rested, the real fun began... I love when she walks into the lamp. Bonk!

Giveaway! 16x20 Photo Canvas from UPrinting

I just created a photo canvas on UPrinting.com and am pleased to report back that it couldn't be easier. I love the "make background' option (perfect when your original photo and your desired photo are different dimensions) and it's even possible to design a collage. A canvas print (ooh, or canvas prints!) with wedding photos sounded good at first, possibly in a variety of canvas sizes, but I soon realized that I was more interested in making a ginormous version of this: Remember when I dyed my hair blonde and asked if it would be too weird to have this photo enlarged and hung on my wall? I decided to do it anyway, weird or no weird. (And I think we all know which of the two this is.) According to Marinelle at UPrinting.com, who contacted me for this giveaway, UPrinting.com is an online printing company that has earned customer loyalty by offering more customizable offset printing and digital printing options than other online printers. They are popular for

BLOG HOP! Vote and Link Up

In addition to leaking (hence the towel underneath), our Philips LatteGo shoots steam out of everywhere except where it's needed. The leak is not from the water tank. It's watery coffee from the bottom tray. The steam function often works fine, creating excellent lattes. Here is a video to display what happens when the steam function does not work. It usually works for the first 1 or 2 lattes, then breaks. (Uploaded for repair claim #087629533133 on 11/22/22 ) Friends, welcome to another Not "Baaad" Sundays blog hop! The past few weekends have been dedicated to the BEST of the Best in Show competition, so we need to play a little bit of catch-up with the Best in Show nominees. Wait! Keep reading! I promise you it's more fun than I just made it sound. Three weeks worth of linky parties have created the following drool-inducing list of nominees, in what can only be summed up as the Best in Show Sweet Treat Edition: (You're welcome.)   Eat Cake for Dinner
