Amerisleep AS3 Reviews

My Amerisleep AS3 Unboxing Video (Surprise, my voice is ridiculous!) If I can (just barely) do it, you can totally tackle a bed-in-a-box by yourself. Updated 10/15/22 Amerisleep's AS5 was recently featured as the 'Best Soft Mattress in a Box' by Good Housekeeping , with the panel of reviewers noting: Pressure relief for side sleepers Taller than other boxed mattresses Good customer service    Amerisleep Mattress Reviews  We've been happy Amerisleep customers since purchasing our first AS3 mattress more than 9 years ago. Now we also have an AS2 and an AS4 (the AS3 is still our favorite). Born with chronic insomnia  (even as a baby - my family insists I was a nightmare), the struggle to improve my sleep is my life. My husband, the overly-analytical mechanical engineer, was initially skeptical of a mail-order mattress, but he was quickly won over. 2012: Wine glass test, sans wine. I was fairly confident our brand-new mattress would pass with f

Lamb, Master of Trickery (Muah Ha Ha!)

Good morning and happy post-Halloween madness, everyone! I have a little confession to make. You know the post from Friday morning wishing you all a great weekend and starting the blog hop? Totally scheduled! I actually flew into Oakland on Thursday night and spent the last few days enjoying San Francisco. Now I'm back in Albuquerque. And you know what else? I'm soooo tired! Why do I come back from every vacation feeling like I need a vacation? In other words, I'll post photos later. For now it's back to bed (I wish!) I have to go to work. And then starts my quest for marked down candy and free pumpkins!

Canon T1i or Cheap Nikon?

Remember how excited I was when I bought my first DSLR camera, a Canon T1i? The honeymoon is over. I know every good blogger is supposed to have a "real" camera, but honestly? Dragging that heavy DSLR camera around is a pain! And my camera, the Canon T1i, isn't even that bulky compared to some of the others. All those fancy options and features are complicated! Is point-and-shoot really that bad? For our San Francisco vacation, I left the Canon at home and brought our old, pocket-sized Nikon. With the help of Picasa's free photo editing software, I was able to go from this: Alcatraz, as seen from our Golden Gate Bay cruise. To this:  Post-Picasa. Not bad for a photo taken willy nilly! (And even more 'not bad' if you click the photo to enlarge it!) Fellow bloggers and photographers, would you ever trade in your DSLR camera for an old-school point and shoot camera? And, if so, which one would you recommend? I'm tempted to sell my Canon to buy som

Kale and Zucchini Quesadillas Recipe

Have you ever thrown together a bunch of different things just to use them up before they go bad, only to discover that what you've made is absolutely delicious ? This is one of those recipes. I had no intention of blogging about this (hence the bites that are missing from the below photos) but it is really, REALLY good! I was just trying to use up our leftover kale and zucchini and now have a new favorite recipe. Don't you just love when that happens? It's especially great since I never know what to do with kale anyway. Hmmm...this is perhaps not the most beautiful food. KALE AND ZUCCHINI QUESADILLAS serves one Ingredients 1 tortilla 2 large kale leaves, chopped with thick stems removed 1/4 of a zucchini, thinly sliced Cilantro, Green Onion, and Jalapenos (to taste, but if you skip this altogether, your quesadilla will be bland!) 1 Tbsp Garlic Butter (you can add these ingredients separately if you must, but after that you should make you
