Amerisleep AS3 Reviews

My Amerisleep AS3 Unboxing Video (Surprise, my voice is ridiculous!) If I can (just barely) do it, you can totally tackle a bed-in-a-box by yourself. Updated 10/15/22 Amerisleep's AS5 was recently featured as the 'Best Soft Mattress in a Box' by Good Housekeeping , with the panel of reviewers noting: Pressure relief for side sleepers Taller than other boxed mattresses Good customer service    Amerisleep Mattress Reviews  We've been happy Amerisleep customers since purchasing our first AS3 mattress more than 9 years ago. Now we also have an AS2 and an AS4 (the AS3 is still our favorite). Born with chronic insomnia  (even as a baby - my family insists I was a nightmare), the struggle to improve my sleep is my life. My husband, the overly-analytical mechanical engineer, was initially skeptical of a mail-order mattress, but he was quickly won over. 2012: Wine glass test, sans wine. I was fairly confident our brand-new mattress would pass with f

A Blogger Without Internet Is Like...

...it's like...ummm...well, I don't know what a blogger without internet is like because I don't have the internet to look it up. I'm forced to pre-write this post offline because we've moved into our new house (hooray!) and Century Link is a big bunch of buttheads who won't connect our internet service (boo!). I have an exciting new Amerisleep review to share with you. We recently ordered 2 more mattresses, an Amerisleep Revere (AS2) and an Amerisleep Colonial (AS4) to complement our 5-years-young Liberty Bed. I might even use it as an opportunity to test out Facebook Live. If only I had internet... There are lots of new home photos to share. I've been cooking in our fabulous all-white kitchen and have some great new recipes to share. We've seen wild animals and have narrowly avoided running them over (thank goodness) and there are funny stories to share about their near misses with death. I even went on my first-ever business trip. I need to sha

Lemon Lime Bitters Recipe

Lemon Lime and Bitters! This was my go-to drink while Sexy Nerd and I were visiting my family in Australia.  Interestingly, we were told this drink is often served to children because the alcohol content is fairly low. I really can't imagine that going over well in the US! Why isn't Lemon Lime & Bitters popular here? It's so good! While we're at it, the same question goes for Vegemite, Freddo Frog, and Violet Crumble bars. Me with my mum's cousin - we're like twins! Me with my SN - we're not like twins! (Thank goodness.) While I may not be able to recreate my beloved Vegemite (though I've seen a few disastrously messy blog posts where people have tried), making Lemon Lime & Bitters is easy peasy, lemon (lime and bitters) squeezy. See what I did there? Yeah, I'm pretty impressed with myself.   Lemon Lime & Bitters Recipe for 1 drink (8oz) Add the following ingredients to a glass, stir, and enjoy

Why am I Sad? Depression is Weird

Update: Don't freak out over this blog post. My spirit animal is basically a lemming and has been since I was 16, but I'm still here today. Depression isn't always like you see in Zoloft commercials. You never know for sure who is suffering. I've considered going to see a professional, but 95% of the time I am the happiest person around. Sad me can't make the appointment and happy me thinks it's unnecessary. I think I've mentioned the things in this post in such a casual way because they've been a part of my life for so long, always hovering, that I tend to feel very casually toward them. And this was never intended to be a childhood trauma post. The point was that if I want to go anywhere with someone, SN and my mom are my only options. I have no friends. I don't know what to do about that. My sleep doctor says I can't sleep because I am depressed. No, I am depressed because I can't sleep. I found something really great for us to do tod

The Perfect End to a Perfect Weekend

Remember the great time we had at the Taos Summer Wine Festival ? That was only our first day! After partying it up with new friends in the lovely Taos Ski Valley, we got to bed nice and early, ready to continue the fun in the morning. Did someone say champagne brunch? I advised SN that jeans and hiking boots are not appropriate attire for a champagne brunch at 192 at The Blake. He donned his fanciest hat to appease me. We arrived early, hoping to nab a table for 2. Success! We even had a lovely view of a bubbling stream right outside the window. Luxury condos too, which led to a potentially expensive discussion about real estate investments we should be making. Shortly after being seated, we were brought a tray of some of the tastiest pastries I've ever had in my life. Even better than in Paris? Absolutely! There was a flaky cinnamon roll and these homemade croissants contained shreds of fresh orange. I may have eaten 3 of the 4 while my husband gazed outsid
