Amerisleep AS3 Reviews

  My Amerisleep AS3 Unboxing Video (Surprise, my voice is ridiculous!) If I can (just barely) do it, you can totally tackle a bed-in-a-box by yourself. Updated 10/15/22 Amerisleep's AS5 was recently featured as the 'Best Soft Mattress in a Box' by Good Housekeeping , with the panel of reviewers noting: Pressure relief for side sleepers Taller than other boxed mattresses Good customer service    Amerisleep Mattress Reviews  We've been happy Amerisleep customers since purchasing our first AS3 mattress more than 9 years ago. Now we also have an AS2 and an AS4 (the AS3 is still our favorite). Born with chronic insomnia  (even as a baby - my family insists I was a nightmare), the struggle to improve my sleep is my life. My husband, the overly-analytical mechanical engineer, was initially skeptical of a mail-order mattress, but he was quickly won over. 2012: Wine glass test, sans wine. I was fairly confident our brand-new mattress would pass with f

Happy Halloween! Fantastic Mr Fox Costume

Here's a Halloween repost. The restaurant shared here, Scalo (our all-time favorite), has since closed (due to the owner's drug addiction, of all things) and reopened under new ownership. We've yet to stop by because of COVID-19 and because their prices have increased significantly. Scalo probably could have gotten us through the door for another evening of Halloween fun, but they don't seem to have anything planned for tonight. Sigh. ***** For the first time in the nearly 15 years we’ve been together, Sexy Nerd actually wore a Halloween costume.  His first instinct when I told him I’d picked the perfect couples costume for us was to be a grump , insisting that he couldn’t dress up because he had an important meeting with the Air Force that day and he was not willing to change his clothes. He wouldn’t even consider swapping one tie for a different tie. Oh, I know him so well. That’s exactly why I factored his fancy work clothes into the costume. How did I get my noto

Our Small Home Office (Featured in Albuquerque Magazine)

Just the other day, I mentioned to a friend that it would be a dream come true to have our home featured in a magazine, but that it wouldn't be a possibility for at least several years because we still have so many projects to complete. Imagine my surprise when Albuquerque the Magazine asked to feature SN's small home office! This office is perfect for keeping an eye on our little weirdos as they lovingly maul each other. Even  Olive made it into the article. Check it out for free in the digital issue (page 94): https://issuu.com/genalacross/docs/2020_june Small Home Office Magazine Interview with Kitty Deschanel This is the hallway containing our small home office. SN built the light fixtures. Here's the full text of my interview with the editor: Q. What was your day-to-day at work like before the pandemic? A. With a busy travel schedule, Derek was usually only home on the weekends, and sometimes not even then. It wasn't uncommon for him to work in 3 diffe

Antler Decor Ideas

Antler Decor Ideas I love nature and have been incorporating deer decor into our new mountain home. We've learned firsthand at our annual excursion to the Summit County Parade of Homes (lavish 20-million dollar mansions in Colorado that are only used for a ski weekend once or twice a year) and other luxury home events how these rustic accents can be just the right touch to make everything so cozy. Modern takes on traditional deer and antler decor keep your look from going full-on log cabin. With naturally shed antlers, pencil sketches, deer crafted of elegant silver, and more, there are many cruelty-free ways to incorporate your love of deer and nature into your contemporary home decor. Confession: I think  antler home decor  is a creepy idea, at least when you're taking about hanging the head of a dead animal on your wall as a form of interior design. There, I said it. Maybe you shot it humanely and it fed your family and the deer were overpopulated in the area anyway

@sshole Dogs

You know it's going to be bad when you arrive home from work and notice that water is flowing underneath the door that leads into the house. Olive and Bernadette have their own doggy bedroom. It includes fittings for a sink, should we choose to install one in the future. We've never given much thought to the two metal arms jutting slightly out of the wall.  Olive and Bernadette stay inside their room when we're not home...for reasons that are now obvious. Photo of the exact moment our girls lost their run-of-the-house privileges. The hallway was full of water. Power cords were submerged. I'm no expert, but this seemed a tad dangerous. Concerned about what would greet me on the other side of the dog room door, I nervously pushed to open it...but it was stuck. That had never happened before. Throwing my weight against the wood door, it eventually burst open into a cloud of steam, revealing both dogs staring at me. They were soaking wet and ac
