Laminate Floors

For those of you who doubt the durability of laminate floors, I present: Pica!

A hyper Jack Russell is no match for this floor. Even her claws sliding across it do not do any harm. (Dropping an attachment from your stand mixer will leave a dent though, as I learned the hard way.)(Roomba also cannot be trusted after leaving swirls on the floor. Punk robot!)

As an added bonus, since Pica cannot get much traction on this floor, she slides excitedly into the wall, the door, the fridge, (etc, etc!) whenever we come home.

MUST.KILL.ROPE!

MUST.FLIP.UPSIDE.DOWN!

Aaaaaaaaugh!

  2. I can just imagine Pica slamming into the fridge!! Good to know about the laminate. Mr. Fine and I have been thinking of getting a kitty but were wondering about claw marks on the hardwood. Thanks for the tip!

  3. My mother has laminate floors and they survived a boxer and are not surviving a hyper poodle! They are too funny to watch as you chase them!

  5. What a cute little guy! You're so right about those laminate floors. They do well with dogs, but drop a glass or in your case a part from your mixer and it's all over! My son accidentally knocked over my buffet once and all of my crystal came crashing to the floor. It was a horrible mess and there were a lot of dents. It was not a pretty sight. We've moved since then, but I'll never forget how terrified I was of dropping things on the floor. lol
Thanks for stopping by. I'm following you now via Google Friend Connect. Have a great day!
