Label Game

This is the soap I use in both our guest bathrooms. It's pretty and it smells like honey. I like it, except for one tiny annoyance. See if you can guess what it is.

Am I naive for thinking that my San Diego Soap Company soap was made in San Diego? *Sigh!*

  2. Is Honey formula the same as real honey? It seems like everything is made in china these days...

  3. Yeah. What Dina said.

Just kidding, I have no idea what that means. But yeah, pretty label, looks local, and then bam. Made overseas. Bummer.

  4. Huh. Now why the heck would they name it that if it isn't even made there?? That would be a problem for me too.

  5. Every once in a while I come across something American made and my heart swells. Then I see something from San Diego, made in China and a little piece of it dies. Okay maybe not that much, but yeah...that is a real misconception.

  6. Huh. I was thinking that the "honey formula" was a bit too close to the bottom of the list...and what's a honey formula anyway?

  7. That soap looks quite lovely and I love the bottle which gives it an old world feel. I find myself quite surprised every time I read a label.... Those manufacturers really annoy one when they use names of cities and then bam - it's made elsewhere. Oy vey!

  9. And...I don't see anything in the ingredient list that says REAL honey. But, oh well, it is guest room soap. It is pretty. It smells good. That is enough.

  16. I like that the honey is "honey formula" - what's that? It's like a label I read for hamburger that said, "Ground Beef, Natural Flavorings" - I asked Alpha Hubby, what are natural flavorings from a cow?? Found out later it is a sodium phosphate wash - !@!
