What's for Dinner? Del Taco Salad!

With so many choices, it's hard to know if the Del Taco Salad is worth your money and your calories. Here's my unbiased, detailed review (with photos).

Del Taco has a tasty new option, the Handcrafted Ensalada, which I guess is Del Taco talk for salad.

There are 3 flavors to choose from: Taco Salad (TS), Chicken Bacon Avocado (CB), and Mexican Chopped Chicken (MC).

What could the PR on this sticker mean?

(Truth be told, I knew what the PR meant the other day, when I took this photo. At least, I think I knew it. I'm sure I knew it! What was it??)

Chicken Bacon Avocado Salad, including a side of tortilla chips. That was a nice surprise! There was supposed to be a side of Cilantro Pepita Ranch, but my Albuquerque Del Taco forgot to include it. You'd think I'd have learned to check my order after the Bacon Quesadilla debacle, but sadly no.

Oh, Pepita Ranch! Could that be the PR stands for?

They didn't shy away from the cilantro-awesomeness, which is one of the reasons I love Del Taco.

Of course, if cilantro tastes like soap to you (you poor, poor person) I'm sure they'll happily make you an Ensalada without it.

Mmmm...BACON!

The Del Taco Ensalada was huge, so I added 2 tacos to my order (currently free when you enroll in their eClub - yay!) and considered dinner done.

1 crunchy chicken taco and 1 soft chicken taco. They do not skimp on the cheese at Del Taco.

You figured I'd give 1 taco to Sexy Nerd and keep the other for myself, didn't you?

Around here, we cut our tacos in half. Crunchy shells be darned!

Hello Fresh Complaints

Hello, my bloggy friends. I have a HelloFresh complaint and believe they are pulling a scam. Yours truly came *this close* to falling for it. Maybe scam is too harsh of a word. Sneaky? You can decide for yourself. The fact that there are so many Hello Fresh complaints online does seem suspicious. Update: Google is totally filling my site with Hello Fresh ads now, ugh. Also, since posting this Hello Fresh complaints article yesterday, I've already received this message from a reader: "I did order from Hello Fresh previously and was not charged what I was originally told (or thought I was told). Also, the food from them was anything but fresh and they refused to do a refund, only doing credit - even for the overcharges! So basically I ended up being out of money thanks to them." My Instant Pot Explosion!

Like many new Instant Pot owners, I've wondered, How many Instant Pots have exploded? (Eeek!) I'm happy to report that my research on Snopes and other sites has shown that these do not explode, at least not when used properly. There is a lawsuit between a woman in Texas and the Instant Pot manufacturer, but she admits she had thrown a towel over the steam vent. Do NOT do this. Still concerned? Consider that on Prime Day of 2018, Amazon sold more than 300,000 Instant Pots. That's more than a quarter of a million sales in only 1 day! If these things were not safe, you would see news stories every day about someone being injured. Still, things can go wrong.
