You know how I was feeling sad about the Sun, Wind, and Wine Festival being over until next year? No more raising glasses of pinot noir in a tipsy toast. No more chef-prepared meats and cheeses and cakes. *Sigh*
It seems the festival gods were listening. Did you know there's another amazing event starting this week? We don't even need to wait until the weekend to attend.
That's right. There's a 99% chance of wine.
That was a weird thing to say, right? Now it makes sense.
Trying to get my mind off the lack of upcoming wine festivals, I flipped through the latest issue of Garden & Gun. I was careful not to bend any pages so that the magazine can be shared in the waiting room of the dental offices I manage. I placed the magazine down for like a second, ten tops, and got a glass of water.
Phinny, who is not allowed on this chair BTW, devoured the corner of the cover, plus several pages. It seems if he hadn't gotten it, Olive and Bernadette would.
Side note: Now you see why I drink. 😉
It was clear that my mischievous doggo knew what he'd done was bad because when I returned, he launched himself off the chair, hurling the magazine off the edge with his hind legs.
When I picked it up, Garden + Gun was turned to the Telluride Food and Vine Festival, which I'd flipped right past previously. Wine gods? Phinny trying to get us out of the house?
Starting this Thursday, June 1st, don't miss out on fun, dining, and education (oh, and lots of WINE) at the Food and Vine Festival in the cool ski town of Telluride, Colorado. This is no ordinary festival.
Telluride Food and Vine Festival
Worth traveling for! Tickets at https://www.telluridefoodandvine.com - hurry because events are selling out quickly!
With exciting events spread out over 4 days, you have the chance to indulge from the sky in a hot air balloon, savor 8 courses during a revered Japanese culinary experience, grill and chill with the winner of Food Network’s Iron Chef Showdown, David Bancroft, and party it up at the Grand Tasting.
There will be master mixologists and culinary experts, but there are no VIP tickets. At this festival, everyone is a VIP.
Telluride's Food and Vine Festival starts the festivities right with a rhinestone cowboy (no, not like the song, though it seems a missed opportunity if they don't play that one) welcome party. On Saturday, it even features an event with effervescent, rosé-based cocktails served while you and your friends laugh over a game of croquet.
Into learning? There are multiple wine seminars, including two where you blend your own custom bottle of red or white wine and another where you'll take home a $138 Riedel kit so you can continue to dazzle everyone with your wine expertise.
Into yoga? They have that too. The Telluride Food and Vine Festival has something for everyone!
Can't decide which events to attend? No worries because they have my #1 most favorite thing for wine festivals. Almost no one offers this even though it creates the best festival experience ever.
A discounted, all-inclusive weekend pass! With a pass, there's no FOMO and no need to stress about what to attend. You just sit back and enjoy your time, wine-style.
Watch out, wine. I'm coming to get you.
