Homestyle Salad with Knorr Homestyle Stock

Out of all the recipes I've made with Knorr Homestyle Stock, my favorite use for it is as a salad dressing. Specifically,  my  Homestyle Mayonnaise .  It's the perfect complement to an assortment of veggies, leaving even my carnivorous Sexy Nerd happy to have a salad for dinner. Best of all, it is 100% unique and unlike any dressing you've ever made or picked up at the store. It looks so healthy, right? That's because it is. This is boring potato salad's New York cousin. Potatoes...and sweet potatoes! Together forever. How hodgepodged is this salad? We're throwing in the celery leaves. We're peeling our cucumber with pretty stripes because we're fancy like that. And egg! And broccoli! Homestyle Salad with Homestyle Mayonnaise (Recipe Yield: 6 servings)(Total Time: 30 minutes, including prep) 2 potatoes + 2 sweet potatoes, diced, boiled 20 minutes, and cooled in ice water 1/2 a bunch of celery, leaves and all 1 large cu

Hello Fresh Complaints

Hello, my bloggy friends. I have a HelloFresh complaint and believe they are pulling a scam. Yours truly came *this close* to falling for it.  Maybe scam is too harsh of a word. Sneaky? You can decide for yourself. The fact that there are so many Hello Fresh complaints online does seem suspicious. Update:  Google is totally filling my site with Hello Fresh ads now, ugh. Also, since posting this  Hello Fresh complaints  article yesterday, I've already received this message from a reader: "I did order from Hello Fresh previously and was not charged what I was originally told (or thought I was told). Also, the food from them was anything but fresh and they refused to do a refund, only doing credit - even for the overcharges! So basically I ended up being out of money thanks to them." My main complaint about Hello Fresh has to do with their promotional rate, which seems like it is set up to be intentionally misleading (more on this below). Despite so many people complainin

36 Foolproof Instant Pot Recipes

My husband thinks I'm crazy for having two Instant Pots. (If you've watched my Instant Pot explosion video, you may agree.) With a large crowd for Thanksgiving this year, including a pregnant vegan (!), I've been researching the best Thanksgiving recipes that can be cooked in an Instant Pot . From turkey to pumpkin pie, it seems there is nothing the Instant Pot can't handle. So my husband is right that my growing Instant Pot collection makes me crazy - crazy like a fox. Instant Pot Recipes for Holidays You don't want to take the chance of having a Thanksgiving disaster when serving guests, so I have strict rules for a recipe to be included in this compilation: the dish must have at least a 4.5-star rating and a minimum of 30 reviews. We're going to be eating well during this year's game of Thanksgiving Bingo ! Most of these holiday recipes can be made in advance. If you don't have an Instant Pot, put one on your Black Friday shopping list

Goat Cheese Dip Recipe - Great for Parties, Sandwiches, & Salads

My husband's parents recently gifted us a fancy assortment of cheese from a goat farm near their home. Soon after, a certain someone said he hates goat cheese and wanted nothing to do with it. More for me! I turned the goat cheese into dip, which I served with tortilla chips and buttery crackers. That same someone who hates goat cheese? Yeah, he pigged out on the dip. Later, when I combined the leftover dip with milk to create a flavorful dressing, the goat cheese hater enjoyed a gigantic salad covered in it. Oh, and this same person who would never, ever eat goat cheese may have also made himself a sandwich on two different occasions, substituting my goat cheese dip in place of mayonnaise both times. So, you know... You're not fooling anyone, Sexy Nerd! Anyone expecting this to taste like 'fondue au Chocolat' is going to be surprised. Avocado and Egg Salad Recipe

Avocado and Egg Salad Recipe Perfect for summer BBQs and for company. We recently served this at a dinner party (1/2 an avocado per guest) to rave reviews. Ingredients (serves 4) 1 diced avocado (2 if you want to be fancy and serve this inside the shell) 1 can of diced tomatoes with Italian seasoning 1/3 cup feta cheese Diced red onion (just a sprinkling, unless you really love the taste of raw onion!) 2 hard boiled eggs 1/4 cup mayonnaise (I use low fat with olive oil) 1/4 cup sour cream (I use nonfat) Generous sprinkling each of Dill , Paprika , Garlic Powder , and Oregano 20 crumbled crackers (Add right before serving)  How to Make Avocado and Egg Salad This recipe is so easy peasy, let's learn it through pictures. You're really just throwing everything together in a big bowl. We aren't the only ones around here who looove avocado. This photo shows "sliced", not "diced". Tsk, tsk! You'll want to squeeze ou
