New Mexico is called the Land of Enchantment for a reason. We are a state with vivid landscapes, a unique culinary heritage, and some of the most friendly people you will ever meet.

Our sunrises and sunsets aren't bad either. I still can't believe this is the view from my kitchen window.

2. The Hollar (Madrid, NM): Enjoy a green chile cheeseburger on the patio. It's served on a homemade biscuit and is so large you'll barely be able to fit it inside your mouth!
3. Greenside Cafe (Cedar Crest, NM): Best chicken-fried steak in the world

1. Taos Summer Wine Festival (Taos Ski Valley, NM)
2. New Mexico Brew Fest (Albuquerque, NM): We've attended beer festivals all over the country. This one is the best, hands down.
3. Green Chile Cheeseburger Smackdown (Santa Fe, NM)
4. Souper Bowl (Santa Fe, NM)
5. NM Fermentation Festival (Albuquerque, NM): If you're into kombucha and kimchi, you won't want to miss this.
6. Wine & Wagyu Weekend (Angel Fire, NM)
7. ArtSmart Art of Home Tour (Santa Fe, NM) and the Homes of Enchantment Parades (Albuquerque, NM): With vigas and kiva fireplaces, come see southwestern architecture up close. These are both free events that are perfect for lovers of interior design.

If you only make it to one event this year, make it the Taos Summer Wine Festival! With gourmet food and all-inclusive activities, like horseback riding, it's always an amazing time, even if you're not into wine.
